Meet Our Team
David Cooper
Meet David Cooper who works from his home in Parkersburg, WV. David has been a long time business acquaintance and friend of HEA for at least 30 years. David and his wife Sheri both worked for Benson trailers when they were based in Mineral Wells, WV. David supervised all of Benson’s repair shops along with managing the Warranty department for all Benson products and was heavily involved in the more technical collision repair jobs. As our business dealings expanded, David and Sheri started to attend meetings held by N.T.H.E.C.C. as a representative of Benson. Our Dan Harvey was an Adjuster member at the time, and it was during this time that we got better acquainted with David and Sheri. As time passed, Benson became Benson International and David and Sheri were transferred to the new Benson International plant in Cadiz Ky. After relocation to Cadiz, Benson was bought out by Wabash National under the name of Transcraft. After 45 years in the equipment business, David has now retired and was at first reluctant to take on any new obligations but then changed his mind and started working claims for us. David services a large portion of Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia
Sampson Bell
Sampson Bell started with HEA five years ago as a part-time trainee and has continued to work from his home near Chattanooga, TN. Sampson was first a service writer at a local dealership then worked his way up to service manager where he wrote estimates and dealt with insurance appraisers on collision claims. Best known for his ability to work with people and his infectious laugh and smile, Sampson is now doing appraisals on trucks, trailers and some minor cargo loses. Watch for Sampson’s name in our reports as the appraiser on your claim.
Stewart Reiker
HEA became acquainted with Stewart as a client first, then a friend, and now he works for us part-time from his home near Greenville, S.C. Stewart’s career in the claims industry started in 1976 where he worked as supervisor of the SIU for a major insurer. He continued his career as a field appraiser and Appraisal Manager as he changed jobs to improve his experience and career. In 2001, Stewart went to work as a Specialty Appraiser which sent him on the road of Appraising and Adjusting Heavy Equipment claims. Like most of us in this industry, Stewart has a passion to stay active by continuing to work in our field of business even though he has retired from a staff job with a major Heavy Equipment insurer. Stewart started with us after saying “you can only mow the yard so many times.” Watch for Stewart’s name in our reports when he makes the field inspection.
John C. (JC) Rehme
John C. (JC) Rehme started with HEA about 5 years ago after serving as a Body Shop manager in Huntington, WV. We dealt with JC on many repair jobs and were always impressed with his integrity, personality and attention to detail. JC decided to pursue his ambition to work in NASCAR and moved to the Charlotte, N.C. area to work for one of the larger NASCAR teams. This put him in a “no conflict” status and in compliance with our company guidelines. His full time job allows JC enough time to work for us in afternoons and on weekends. If your a NASCAR fan and watch a Cup race on TV, chances are you will see JCs workmanship out on the track.
